Itinerary
DAY 1
Arrive at Algonquin Cottage Outpost at 11:30am. Enjoy a guided canoe lesson followed by lunch and check in at your cottage or chalet suite. After lunch embark on a guided paddle around Round Lake. Explore the bays and look for birds such as loons and heron. Paddle around the islands and learn about the evolution of cottages on the lake. Head back to the Cottage Outpost for a BBQ dinner, swim, bonfire and night hike.
DAY 2
Interpretative hike to Music Lake featuring an introduction to the boreal forest, beaver ponds, and spruce bogs. Picnic lunch at Lake before hiking to Surprise Lake where a 26-foot Voyageur Canoe waits. Enjoy a leisurely paddle as we "island hop" our way down the lake and arrive via canoe at the Algonquin Log Cabin. Relax, swim or take a sauna. Return to Algonquin Cottage Outpost.
DAY 3
Voyageur start and sunrise paddle. Search for Moose and beaver lodges and take advantage of ideal photography opportunities. Cook out maple syrup breakfast. Return to cottages by late morning.

The cost is: $496 per person based on 4 people or $725 per person based on 2 people
The cost includes: three nights deluxe cottage accommodation, 4 meals (lunch and dinner day 1, lunch day 2, breakfast day 3), canoe lesson, guided night hike, canoe and hike / Voyageur paddle and sauna, sunrise paddle and cookout breakfast.
The cost does not include:
HST (13% sales tax) personal clothing, additional meals/shopping (available for an additional charge)
Please note that each package can be customized. Full meal packages can be arranged for additional charge.
RETURN TRAIN TRANSPORTATION FROM TORONTO
Cost is $175 per person for return train transportation from Toronto
HOW MUCH EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED? WHAT KIND OF SHAPE DO YOU NEED TO BE IN?
None! The "Algonquin Eco Adventure" is for people at any level of experience. Our pace is very relaxed, as the trip objective is to have fun, look for wildlife, swim, and enjoy the Algonquin environment.

Voyageur Quest guides are skilled outdoorsmen and women who are there to ensure your trip is an adventure of a lifetime. On top of being well versed in the natural and cultural history of northern Ontario, our guides are selected for their love of the people and the land. All Voyageur Quest guides are qualified professionals and trained in wilderness first aid.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Each participant will be required to sign and return to Voyageur Quest a release of liability before being allowed to participate in any trip we offer. This document releases Voyageur Quest from liability in the case of accident or injury for any reason.
