A date like no other! Bring your loved one to Algonquin's northwest corner for some intimate Algonquin winter adventure! Share a snowmobile through an unspoiled winter forest, trek to a hidden forest camp for a regional gourmet lunch, enjoy a torch lit skate. Put your feet up in front of the fire every night in your own chalet suite. This package is ideal for couples looking for some real adventure.
The Algonquin Cottage Outpost offers 3 fully furnished deluxe solar powered chalet suites with fireplace and deck - located on beautiful Kawawamog (Round) Lake at the northwest corner of Algonquin Park. Each chalet suite features two bedrooms, washroom with hot shower, living room with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, dining table, deck with BBQ.
THURSDAY - DAY 1
Arrival at the Algonquin Cottage Accommodation - private chalet suite at Algonquin Cottage Outpost.
FRIDAY - DAY 2
Learn how to operate a snowmobile and read a map over coffee. Then like the Amazing Race, follow the map as you and your partner snowmobile through snow covered forests. Watch out for ice fishing huts (optional ice fishing activity available). Continue down the trail to a late afternoon gourmet lunch at a lakeside Lodge. After lunch enjoy a shuttle back to the cottages. Enjoy a private dinner in front of the fireplace

SATURDAY DAY 3
Follow the map, this time on snowshoes to a heated tent hidden in the forest. Enjoy a home baked regional lunch in the tent. Take in a breath of fresh air and enjoy the calm of the wilderness. Return to the cottage for dinner. Lace up the skates after dinner for some magical torchlight skating under the winter sky!

Cost is $1,294 per couple plus HST
Cost includes: Three nights deluxe chalet suite accommodation at the Algonquin Cottage Outpost, gourmet lunch day 2, heated wall tent regional lunch day 3, self guided snowmobiling, snowshoeing, torch lit skating
Cost does not include:
13% HST, personal clothing, transportation from Toronto, icefishing ( available for additional cost)

RETURN TRAIN TRANSPORTATION FROM TORONTO
Cost is $145 per person for return train transportation from Toronto
HOW MUCH EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED? WHAT KIND OF SHAPE DO YOU NEED TO BE IN?
None! The "Algonquin Winter Adventure for Two" is for couples with any level of outdoor experience. While this package does not require experience, couples should be comfortable travelling in the wilderness without a guide. Lunch locations require following a trail and using a map. For those who prefer, guided packages are also available.
In terms of fitness, couples should be in moderate shape. You should be comfortable being active for up to 4 hours at a time (at a walking pace).
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Each participant will be required to sign and return to Voyageur Quest a release of liability before being allowed to participate in any trip we offer. This document releases Voyageur Quest from liability in the case of accident or injury for any reason.
