First class operation from start to finish! Being avid paddlers and campers we had high expectations but I have to say it might be hard to go back to our old normal after this adventure. Below are some of the highlights.
Log Cabin: Food: Staff: Professional Photographer: Wild Life: Thank you again Voyageur Quest for a first class outdoor adventure in Canada’s best provincial park, Algonquin Park! Luke
The perfectly authentic Canadian log cabin experience off the grid while nestled on a beautiful lake was awesome. The rooms are clean, rustic with comfortable beds and bedding. The screened in porch was lovely to relax on, read a book and enjoy a glass of wine while observing the creatures in the forest. Dinner was set at a beautiful harvest table accommodating all guests and providing the perfect environment to enjoy a beautiful dinner by candlelight. We did a paddle on the lake and it was lovely and provided a great view of the sunset.
Hit it out of the park! I felt like I was always eating… fresh ingredients, well composed, flavourful and beautifully executed. From our first lunch to our last we weren’t left for wanting more and I can honestly say I have never eaten so much dessert! Well done chef and team for keeping our bellies full to ensure we had the energy for our 2 day paddling adventure… Oh, and the wine and cheese were fabulous and also included.
The staff was very professional, knowledgable and fun! Our guides Mostafa and Evan were total characters, who’s passion for their jobs was very evident and I look forward to seeing where their careers take them. Well done gents! Katie and Lee who assisted in the kitchen and with preparing our canoe trip were delightful and did a great job entertaining and educating the group while supporting our group in terms of the heavy lifting and cooking. Chef! Such talent!!! My belly and I are very pleased to have met you and your talents in the kitchen are first fantastic.
Rob, your knowledge and understanding of photography could be intimidating to some such as myself with my limited experience but you make it easy to following and inspiring to learn more.
From loons to moose and all things in between. The bugs when we went are bad but that’s why we saw so many moose! 8 in total! Seeing moose up close and personally in a canoe is by far the best way to experience it.
Excellent – one of the best trips ever. The leader of the tour (MA) did a great job was highly reassuring of the whole camping and canoeing experience for someone with little experience. The other guides Peter and Heather were also super helpful and friendly. The photographer Rob was excellent and passionate about his subject. A great team – they did a wonderful job together in creating an awesome experience
