The island is a short canoe paddle from Algonquin Access Point #1 and our Canoe Outpost. With 360-degree water views and two decks, the cabin is fantastic for artisans or couples looking for a quiet getaway in nature.
The cabin is cozy and has spectacular views from every window. A 2009 renovation added second floor bedroom with stunning walk out deck. The front porch is classic and just wide enough for a small dining table for two to watch the sunset. To view pictures of the cabin and island, click on the tour below.

The sun is barely up, the air cool and clean. The silence is complete except for the rythmic slap, slap of the paddles in the water, smooth as glass, reflecting the crimson and gold of autumn’s glory as it reveals itself on another new day in Algonquin Park.
Our three-day Algonquin adventure started with an exhausting three-hour hike followed by a 45-minute paddle in a huge voyageur canoe. Along the way we stepped around snakes sunning themselves on the rocks surrounding Music Lake and ran for our lives from a hive of swarming bees that managed to leave us with a few very painful memories of our afternoon trek to the Algonquin Log Cabin.
