Large New Deck

The Maniotu and Lost Dog cottage was connected in 2021. Now a large wooden deck has been added in the fall of 2022 that connects the two cottages from the outside and offers a nice outdoor dining option. Have a look here at our updated photo gallery.

Manitou New Dock

In the spring of 2023, we added a new dock that offers a wide seating area. The right side of the dock has a shallow sandy beach which is ideal for small children to play in or those who like to walk in for a swim.

Landscaping adds a new look to the waterfront

Also in the spring of 2023, our team added a fresh look to the front of the cottage with a beautiful path from the driveway, green grass, and a flagstone walkway to the dock.

Perfect cottage rental for canoeing, fishing, hiking

Algonquin’s northwest corner is an outdoor playground. The Manitou and Lost Dog Cottage is a great base for exploring Kawawaymog Lake by canoe, kayak, or SUP. The Forgotten Trails have four great hiking trails within a 5-minute drive. Moose Mountain and the Tower Trail are our guide’s top picks.
