The all-inclusive fully guided bespoke Algonquin Private Eco- Adventure is a private cottage adventure at the Nipissing Cottage filled with unique guided canoe, hiking excursions and wildlife interpretation. Boasting 3 fully independent units, this mainland compound is perfect for a family or group vacation or special event (sleeps 12-15) with options for extra bunkie cabins should your group require. A one of a kind adventure experience offering you privacy with the security and support of a guide. Throughout your stay, your guide will step in and out, giving your crew the freedom and privacy to enjoy your time while seamlessly weaving in unique activities all meals and memorable adventure moments.

With over 650 feet (200m) of shoreline, a main cottage and two fully independent chalet suites, docks, decks, gazebo, firepit and a floating sauna, the Algonquin Nipissing Cottage is designed for a group of up to 12-15 who love to play and be together. Option to add on bunkie cabins.

Pull up a Muskoka chair, kick back and let us serve up tasty food and chill vibes by the water so that this one dinner, marks the high note family and firends carry long after summer fades. Think corn roast, crackling fire, roasted marshmallows smores, maybe even a guitar and a sing-along if you're feeling it. Just gather your favorite people—we’ll take care of the rest.

Algonquin's northwest corner is off the grid offering you a chance to unplug and really enjoy your vacation. Add on wifi to your package for a small daily fee.

Ideal for a group of to 15, the Nippsing Cottage is perfect for a large family or group of friends who love adventure.

Excellent kitchens and large deck

The Nipissing Cottage comes with 3 well stocked kitchens. There is a large deck with a BBQ and picnic table that sits 16.

Add to your Cottage stay

Add Fishing rods or stand up paddle boards. If you plan on heading down the river, rent a few more canoes so your whole group can paddle. Try paddling a 10 person voyageur canoe - ideal to paddle around Kawawaymog Lake.

WHAT DOES "OFF-GRID" MEAN?

Yes, we operate on  solar electricity. Our fridge , stove , water heater run on propane gas. Please note  these cottages do not have  enough power to plug in certain items.  Talk to our office if  you require powe

Yes, we provide towels and linens. We provide bath towels but not beach towels. If you think you might need some additional towels, we would advise you to bring some spare ones (as per our sustainability policy) as we do not provide extras.

Yes. Out of respect for our neighbours on Kawawaymog Lake, there is a strict 10 PM noise policy. We ask that guests turn off electronic music and keep noise to minimum after 10 PM.

Each cottage has a bathroom with flushing toilet and a hot shower.

Water is safe to cook and wash dishes with however is not safe to drink. There is clean drinking water in the water cooler provided in each cottage.

The cottages come with one canoe, paddles, and PFDs. Additional canoes, kayaks, and SUP boards can be rented from our Voyageur Outfitting store, just a few minutes down the road.

Yes, you can fish on the lake, river and surrounding area. You must have your own Ontario fishing license and Outdoors Card. For non-Canadian residents, see 1-day permits <a href=”https://www.ontario.ca/page/fishing-licence-fees-non-canadian-residents”>here</a>

Fishing rods and tackle can be rented from our Voyageur Outfitting store.

Single meals or fully-catered meal packages are available – contact our office for more information. The Broken Paddle Patio is licensed and offers outstanding dinners during summer months. Please ensure you make a reservation.

We do love dogs and you are more than welcome to bring your furry friend. Please note that you are responsible
for cleaning up after your dog and for any damage to furniture, floors etc. that your dog may cause. An additional damage deposit of $250 is required for guests with pets.

<strong>Payment Policy. </strong>A 25% deposit with “to book” form information confirms the booking. The balance is due 30 days before the trip. Full payment is due for trips booked within 45 days of the trip date. Please note a 2.4% credit card fee is applied. We encourage e transfer or bank wire transfer wherever possible.
<strong>Cancellation Policy. </strong>Cancellation received 60 days or more prior to the trip – Full refund minus a $75.00 admin. fee. Cancellation received less than 60 days – Loss of initial deposit. Cancellation received less than 30 days – No refund will be issued without the purchase of cancellation insurance, purchased at the time of booking from your travel insurance provider.

Our signature experience! The Algonquin Canoe and Lodge is a 5-day classic Canadian adventure that combines a 3-day Algonquin Park Canoe trip (backcountry camping) with 2 nights at the Algonquin Log Cabin. Trips run Monday - Friday, July through August.
